Visa Application Process

The visa application process is complex and time consuming. We will do everything we can to help ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.

Here is what can be expected:

1)  We at The Foundation for the Children of Iran (FCI) will ask you for the information and documents needed to complete the applications.

2)  We at FCI will complete the application for you along with all supporting documentation and email a scan of it to the Consulate in Dubai.

3)  Once the Consulate receives the documents, they will assign you an appointment date and time.

4)  Travel and a Visa for entering Dubai will be arranged for the patient and mother.

5)  We will Federal Express the originals of the Visa Application documents to Dubai so they will be there when you arrive (you will need to bring orginals of the items you have such as the 5x5 photos and your passport).

6)  You will be picked up at the airport in Dubai by an FCI Volunteer.

7)  You will be taken to the bank in Dubai to obtain bank drafts to pay for your Visas by an FCI Volunteer.

8)  You will be taken to your appointment by an FCI Volunteer.  Please note that all travelers MUST attend the appointment in order to keep the appointment.  There are no exceptions.  Even if the child is very sick and very young, the child must still attend the appointment.

9)  A place to stay in Dubai will be arranged by the Foundation.

10)  At your interview, if your Visa is approved, you will be issued a number (each person receives a number).

11)  Be sure to send us the numbers you were issued because we need to check online for them daily.  Once the number appears on the consulate website, your security clearance has been approved and we will be able to arrange your travel to the U.S.
