Yasmine Pahlavi
Yasmine Etemad Amini was born in Tehran, Iran on July 26, 1968. Her family left Iran in the late 1970's in response to the turmoil that plagued the country. Her early years were spent in California in the U.S. with her parents.
In 1986 she met Prince Reza Pahlavi. Following a brief courtship, they were married on June 12, 1986. Despite the many responsibilities of her new role, Princess Yasmine continued her education, receiving a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in political science from George Washington University in Washington DC - Consequently, she received her doctorate in jurisprudence (JD) from George Washington University and was admitted to the Bar in 1998.
Princess Yasmine's professional career culminated in a position as an attorney at The Children's Law Center. This exceptional organization provides legal protection to abused children. The Law Center is recognized for its important work in protecting some of the most vulnerable members of society.
Princess Yasmine Pahlavi lives in the United States with her husband and her three daughters, Princess Noor, born on April 3, 1992 and Princess Iman born on September 12, 1993 and Princess Farah, born on January 17th, 2004. As the spouse of Prince Reza Pahlavi the well being of her compatriots in her homeland is a matter close to her heart as it is to many of the members of the Diaspora. She has also dedicated her life to her own children, as well as the children in her motherland, and those in her immediate community, reflecting her personal and profound commitment to future generations and the opportunities for civil and peaceful coexistence for all people.
David Hertzberg
Mr. Hertzberg is the Chief Financial Officer of the Araz Group which provides health care management services and expertise to a variety of clients through its divisions; Americas's PPO, America's TPA & America's IME. Prior to his arrival at the Araz Group in the fall of 2008, he spent 10 years in the airline industry working in various finance related positions for Mesaba Airlines and Sun Country Airlines. Before that he spent 7 years with Norwest Bank which is now Wells Fargo.
Mr. Hertzberg is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management and holds a master's degree in Finance from the University of St. Thomas. He is married with two school-age children and keeps busy with family activities. |
Nazie Eftekhari
Ms. Eftekhari is the Founder, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of HealthEZ, Inc., a Minneapolis based company providing services designed to streamline the health care billing and payment process and eliminate its complexities. The beneficiaries of Health EZ's services include all parties involved in the health care billing process: consumers and their employers, health care providers, and insurers and third-party administrators.
Prior to founding HealthEZ in 1999, Ms. Eftekhari earned national recognition for founding The Araz Group, one of the nation's first preferred provider organizations. America's Preferred Provider Organization (America's PPO), the term coined to describe her innovation, brings together doctors, hospitals and other health providers to form a network in order to negotiate and provide servcies at attractive rates in return for the opportunity to serve the clients of an insurer or third-party administrator. Celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2008, The Araz Group today provides health care management services and expertise to a range of clients through its divisions: America's PPO, America's TPA, and America's IME.
A member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Minnesota Medical School, Ms. Eftekhari also serves on the Board of Overseers of the Univeristy of Minnesota Carlson School of Management and Board of Trustees of The Walker Art Center.
Ms. Eftekhari has received recognition for her leadership in business and service to the community. In 2004, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal named her one of the Twin Cities' Women Changemakers. The Araz Group was cited by City Business as one of the region's top 25 women-owned businesses. In 1995, Ms. Eftekhari was named Small Business Person of the Year. Amongst her other awards are: the Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights Award and the Woman of Distiction Award.
Ms. Eftekhari is a graduate of the London School of Economics and holds master's degrees in International Relations from the University of Southern California (UK) and in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. She has a son, Sahm McGlynn who is 23 years old and works in the film industry and a daughter, Raz McGlynn who is 19 years old and attends Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Her children are unabashedly her pride and joy.
