Dear Friends of FCI,

Christophe_cropped.jpg

We are grateful for the love of those who have contributed to the Christophe Jean Lefebvre Memorial Fund of the Foundation for the Children of Iran. Along with Christophe's family, we extend to you our gratitude. While nothing can fill the void, there is comfort in knowing he was loved by you, and his memory will live on in the healthy children who will thrive in Iran... extending his life to the homeland of his beloved Assiyeh and the ancestral home of his precious children Pauline and Jean-Philippe.

  • Financial Reports - Update

In the financial reports section (under ABOUT US) you'll find the 2008 Audited Financials, along with an interim report for 2009 through the month of November.  We have also added financial information on the patients the Foundation has recently helped.  Also, please note that our accountants - Lurie Besikof Lapidus & Company, LLP - have asked that discounts be reported as donations.  Therefore we now include the total patient billed amount in expenses, and any discounts on the medical services as a donation, along with donations from our generous supporters.

    Salar Update

Thank you to everyone who contributed to help Salar receive the care he needs. The Foundation was able to transfer nearly $40,000 to Stanford as part of the down payment for his surgery.
To follow Salar's progress, please visit helpsalar.com. The most recent news can be found by clicking the "Updates" link.  From their website:

Salar is slightly better. he has the BiPap mask. He is still on feeding tube. Hopefully soon he start breathing and eating, drinking on his own. He opens his eyes on and off and says something.

Surgery finished after 10 hours around 5PM pacific time. It was a successful operation. He is out of danger and is going to PICU on 2nd floor.  Thank you all for your prayers and follow ups.
